The Civil Ensign of the British Bahamas flew from 1869 to 1904. It features a British Red Ensign defaced with the emblem of the colony, which is comprised of St. Edward's crown above a scene showing three ships of sail, with one large one prominent British ship in the centre, which is chasing the other two; surrounded by the motto of the colony "Expulsis piratis resituta commercia", the Latin for "Pirates expelled, commerce, restored".

This flag has a 1:2 proportion, and is made of lightweight polyester; intended for internal decoration and outdoor display. It's colours are bright and true to the images shown and will be a welcome edition to any collection or display.
